Committed to active community service, Ms. Forrester founded Aunt Cora’s Gingerbread House for Art & Culture in 2001.Gingerbread House uses the arts to raise self–esteem, refine social skills, encourage personal growth and develop appreciation for diverse cultures. Roxanne has served women and children through volunteer programs with The Star of Hope, U-Win, Bonita House of Hope and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Houston.

Roxanne Forrester

Roxanne began her career with Texas Air Corporation and Continental Airlines, as Executive Assistant, Administrator Investor Relations and Sales Manager where she became a three-time recipient of it annual award for outstanding achievement. Ms. Forrester has also held Administrative and Sales Management positions for Holiday Inns, Inc. and KHOU-TV in Houston where she produced commercials for community based organizations and cultural vignettes.

Ms. Forrester attended Pennsylvania State University, Houston Community College and Texas Institute of Biblical Studies. She has also been certified as a foster parent with The State of Texas.
